About Veritas Forums

Veritas Forum

Where does morality come from? Isn't science rapidly approaching a complete explanation of nature? Do you ever have doubts about your worldview? Where can I find meaning and fulfillment?

College students around the world are asking themselves and their friends these questions, but there is often no real place to explore these questions alongside brilliant faculty and leading thinkers.

Veritas Forums are university events that engage students and faculty in discussions about life's hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life.

Veritas Forums are created and hosted by campus student organizations, connected to a network of 70 campuses nationwide, and supported by the national Veritas Forum team.

History at Texas A&M

TexasA&M Diversity Right

In 2012, The Veritas Forum at Texas A&M welcomed Os Guinness to explore the role of Christians in a pluralistic society, in which the values of diversity, social harmony, and liberty sometimes seem in conflict. Dr. Guinness argued that in our modern society, diverse religious voices should have the freedom to enter the public square in order to form "A World Safe for Diversity."

TexasA&M Live Right

In 2011, The Veritas Forum at Texas A&M asked, "How Shall We Live?" Christians believe that humans are "made in the image of God," the famous "imago dei" doctrine. But what does this mean? And what are the implications? Kenneth Samples, senior research scholar at Reasons to Believe, shared his take on this question, drawing relevant conclusions for issues of humanitarian and ethical concern.
